loopdaloop, BIFF.ai’s beat maker for iPhone, is out on the App Store today, 10 October 2026. It is free, with no in-app purchases and no subscription, and it runs fully offline with no account. Tap once and a beat, a bass line or a pad starts playing: on the beat, in key, already swinging. Hold an orb and you take control.
Cover: three unedited screens from loopdaloop 1.0. The halo of moves around the drum orb, the deck playing, and the step editor.
Music first, grid second
Most beat makers open on an empty grid. loopdaloop opens on music. “Add sound” drops a surprise voice on the deck (a kit, a bass, a lead, a pad, a texture) and it plays right away, picked for the tempo and the style already playing, so a house deck gets an offbeat bass and organ stabs and a drill deck gets sliding bass. Fill, drop, lift, flip, half-time and double-time are one tap each, quantized and self-resolving: mash buttons, get an arrangement. Nothing you do can be out of time or out of key, because every move lands on the next bar.
Control when you want it
Hold any orb and a halo of moves fans out around it: busier, calmer, flip, swap, octave, tone, faders, edit. From there:
- Draw the beat. A 16-step grid per sound. Melodies get a row per note of the key, so anything you draw stays in key.
- Shape the sound. A four-band EQ on every sound, drawn as one curve, and a fader for every hit of the kit.
- Paint the chords. One chord per bar; bass, lead and pads follow it, voice-led.
- Melt two sounds. Drag one orb onto another and in one bar they become a single new instrument.
- Hear the stage. Every sound plays from where its orb stands. Walk the listener through the band and the mix follows.
- Loop any move, undo anything. Press an orb or a fader, then drag, and it loops. Every move can be walked back to the start of the session.
Every sound made on the phone
Every sound is synthesized in the app, not played from samples. There are 17 drum styles, from house and boom bap to drill, gqom and dembow, plus 14 chord journeys and seven moods. That is why the whole app is about a 3 MB download and there are no sample packs to fetch.
Scenes and songs
Capture the deck as a scene, tap scenes in any order, and line them up in the sequencer row so the song plays itself. Every new song rolls a fresh tempo, key, mood and groove, and remembers its own.
No account, no tracking
There is no sign-in, and songs, scenes and patterns stay on the phone. The only data that leaves the device is anonymous usage events with a random per-install ID: not linked to you and not used for tracking. The details are in the privacy policy.
